It seems ages since I last wrote! So much has happened that it all seems to blur into one long day! We had a FANTASTIC day last Saturday. So many of you turned up to Make & Take it was standing room only! The car park was like the centre of Maidstone on a Saturday morning and we needed a car park attendent to sort out road rage!!
Everybody seemed to enjoy themselves and we had lots of lovely comments!
We finished the last batch of lessons on saturday with the acrylic album. A really lovely project to end on. The next workship list will be sent out and go on line towards the end of April but I will keep you posted nearer the time. Ollie is growing so fast. He is such a good boy. One of his favourite activities is sitting in the back garden watching the wood pigeons. They fascinate him!
We will putting a new selection of cards on to the gallery monday so look out for them. Speak soon! Happy crafting!

I have changed the way the comments section comes up on the screen - so instead of writing your comments on the section that comes up under the actual blog - a new page will come up when you click 'Comment'. There will be a link that you can click that will take you back to the main blog site!

Hopefully this will sort out any problems people were having!

Hello All,

I heard that some of you are having problems posting comments on the blog! I'm not sure why that would be but I'll have a fiddle and see what I come up with!!

I'll let you know what happens

Hi I'm Ollie.

My owners now think I am big enough to write my own blog! Having trouble with these huge paws - can't quite reach the middle keys!
I have a wonderful home - hectic but loving! Foods good - treats are better. My mum is the best!
I don't like the wet stuff that falls out of the sky - I'm more of a sun worshiper!

Have met a lot of you at The Studio - sorry about the nipping - apparently once all my baby teeth fall out I will just be giving you kisses!

Opps must go - I hear my dinner being prepared.

Licks and wags to you all - my loyal following - how do you like the new photo?!

Sheesh - just recovering from our first Craft Weekend!
Great time had by all - I hope. Great to see so many new faces!
Ollie went down a storm - his eyes are red from all the camera flashes! - He was very well behaved but is now exhausted!
Great new papers have arrived from the States - so busy making up samples with those!

They include this card which uses one sheet of patterned paper and is great for all the men out there.
Oh and another pic of Ollie - he is growing sooo fast!!

Thank you to everybody who came to the Make and Take on Saturday!
We all had a great time as usual.
Ollie made a couple of appearances - and everything came to a grinding halt!

The sad news is that the money raised from make and takes was stolen from The Studio during opening hours on Tuesday. We will of course honour this for the Hospice - obviously the perpetrators need was greater - spend it wisely!

Anyway, lots of great paper and products arriving at The Studio daily - look forward to seeing you!

What a week that was! We have been visiting the Trade Show at Birmingham N.E.C - so much to see - so little time to see it in!
LOTS, LOTS, LOTS of fantastic products - unfortunately we have to wait for their arrival from the great USA so it will probably be end of March before the bulk of our orders arrive - but hey - it will soooo be worth the wait. Papers, stamps, you name it we've got it coming.

There was time this week to make a few cards - thought this was a quick and easy one which if you changed the colour ways, would fit any recipient! A great stamp from Hero Arts!

Ollie has his final injection tomorrow so the world will be his oyster! - look out world! Many thanks to all of you who have booked classes and workshops - look forward to seeing you all!!
Have a great weekend!

Good News - the 2 and a half inch Scallop circle punch is NOW IN!

Happy Valentines Day to you and all!!

Thursday, February 12, 2009

If people ask what's my favourite crafting item of the moment - it has to be the Big XL Scallop Card die from Ellison.
The ability to make a card from any colour cardstock with a decorative edge is second to none!
I made these two cards late last night in less than 20 minutes ready for the post today - Oh, and all the while I had a sleeping dog at my feet!
We will have fresh supplies of the Big XL die at The Studio within the next two weeks!

We have all been busy at The Studio designing and preparing cards for both the Magazine and the upcoming classes and workshops!
As usual, The Studio has been in a state of chaos and customers have had to negotiate their way around the boxes of new stock which has been arriving daily! But hey - you can't be creative and tidy!!

Our first blog...

...nothing to do with cards - but all to do with 3kg of huggle buggle on legs!
Our brand new addition to The Card Studio - 10 week old Ollie, a brown and white Cocker Spaniel with eyes that just melt your heart!

Welcome to our blog!!

This is a new and exciting venture for The Card Studio!
We always have so much to say that a monthly newsletter just doesn't always cut it!
We hope you enjoy sharing our news and views which we will endeavour to update regularly!
Please feel free to leave your comments whenever you have a free minute!
