Sorry that it has been a couple of weeks since my last blog!

We had a really busy visit to  Kent.  Many thanks to all those who came to the workshops!
I had a fantastic time meeting up with you all again - with a special Hi to " Thursday Group" - they know who they are!
Lots of scrapbooking and cardmaking took place and I hope it gave you enough inspiration to last until September when we do it all over again!

Speaking of September workshops - we sold out within a couple of days of advertising them and are now putting names on to a waiting list for cancellations.

Arrangements are now being made for 2013 workshops which will take place in March, June and September.  Details will go out in September of venues and dates.

We are also trying to find locations for scrapbooking and cardmaking weekends in bonny Scotland.
Many of you have expressed interest and we are making enquiries as I type!

I had lots of nice comments about the Graphic 45 cards when I was down in Kent so here are a couple of designs for the girlies!
I used a Tim Holtz sewing stamp onto distressed cream card . The decorative pins are hand made - just ordinary sewing pins with pearl beads threaded on. I find that the hat pins you can buy are too big for cards and tend to dominate.

Another of the Graphic 45 sheets is used on this design.  I have highlighted one of the models using Adirondak cranberry inkpad and pulled it together with the same colour backing.
The floral scroll background paper is very effective and I have used it on quite a few card designs.

As you can see there are lots of images that can be cut and pasted onto a number of card designs.

Hope you like todays offering!

Happy crafting!

Men can be very difficult at times especially when it comes to cards!
I am constantly being asked about designs for mens cards.  They are quite overlooked when it comes to stamps and designer papers so its quite refreshing and also inspiring when we get new ones of either.

Graphic 45 are always a good resource for mascular themed papers.  Their kraft collection contains clocks and watches and deep espresso and natural browns.

With that in mind I have put a quick card together adding a deep mustard scalloped edge from Bazzill.
You can fix a picture or greeting on the inside of the accordian that is on the front.

With the Jubilee and Olympics hammering on our front door I have had to include a smattering of red white and blue! I love using these colour combinations anyway but to have an excuse is just great!

I have used these stamps on a design I am doing at the workshops next week so this card is from a selection of examples to go with it. Three iconic images that are recognised the world over! To get a more detailed image just double click on any of the cards I have posted and it will bring the image up closer!

Ollie is recovering from a horrible tummy upset - he has been feeling very sorry for himself.  The vet has been rubbing her hands together and booking her summer hols on the bill we have just paid - bring in NHS for animals!
Have a great weekend - whatever you are up to!

Hope you are having a nice relaxing Bank Holiday.
A little cloudy up here but the sun is starting to peek through!

Have been busy with wedding designs but had to break off and go back to the Prima  designs that I have been using recently.  Please excuse the photography! I am going onto a camera course in June so there should be an improvement thereafter!
Have used paper from the Meadow Lark collection and combined it with a lilac cardstock.
The geeting is stamped onto an image that I cut from another Prima sheet using labels twenty from Spellbinders. Prima flowers and flourish diecut add movement and to finish it off - a beautiful Prima white butterfly!
Feel free to leave a comment or ask any questions about the designs I put on my blog!

Happy crafting!

Thankyou for all the bookings we have received over the last few days.
Sunday filled almost immediately and had us searching for a second venue for the saturday!
Luckily we managed to find a hall in Kingswood - not too far from Langley and did not have to disappoint anybody.

I forgot to mention in the original email that we are running a free prize draw on both days!  All the names of attendees will go into a hat and whoever is pulled out on the days will receive a gorgeous Totally Cool tote bag!!

Only had time to put together one card this weekend but enjoyed using the Prima En Francais paper collection. I like to use their A4 paper pads - always a good selection of designs. The pretty Spellbinders bitty blossoms dies make the most perfect flowers! The tag pins from Tim Holtz are excellent for popping in a greeting.

The sun is shining brightly and Ollie is snoozing on the landing bathed in sunshine - just like his own private sun bed!

WOW that was an evening!!

and nothing to do with Jim!

Within two minutes of posting details of the September workshop the phone did not stop ringing until 10.10 last night!

Thankyou for all your bookings places are filling fast!
It was lovely to hear from you and to catch up on all your news doesnt time fly!

Thought you might like to see a card that I put together using the Spellbinder embossing folders and a beautiful butterfly die.  I love working with black and white - it can look so elegant and adding a few gems just sets it off.

It has taken me three hours to get this blog on line as all you lovely ladies have been distracting me with your phone calls!

Sun is shining gloriously and the bluebells are in full bloom!

Off to pick up Millie from nursery and then we are planting spring onions and radishes !

HAPPY CRAFTING!

It can not be 1st of May!

I am not ready to start the fifth month of the year!

Although having said that I have been putting together a few christmas designs for workshops!
Thankyou so much for all your emails and texts after posting yesterdays blog! I didn't realise I had been so missed!

So - that has spurred me on to continue with the good work and make this a regular slot.

Thought you might like to see another of the special occassion cards that I have designed- I'm really into all the dies that are on the market at the moment plus a bit of bling and the odd paper flower!

This picture was taken amongst the caos of my studio so please excuse the boxes!

The window die is from one of the new spellbinder sets which I have been demoing up here in scotland.

The beautiful simplicity of this design is what makes it work and the beautiful rose pink paper flowers makes it pop!

Yesterday I mentioned the possibility of an extra workshop in May - we are still waiting for confirmation on that but meanwhile we can tell you about the all day workshop that we are running on the 30th September.

It will take place at Langley village hall - our usual venue - and will run from 10am - 4.00pm or there abouts!! The cost is £35.00 to include all materials and tools required to make six fantastic designs!

This will be posted by email to all our subscribers but if you want further information or to book a place please call 01563 559861. Places will be limited and on a first come basis.  We will be including christmas creations but as with all my designs there will be examples of everyday also.

I promised a pickie of Ollie post groomers

He is refusing to look at the camera - not happy at having been cut to within a centimetre of his life!!
